an absolutely beautiful day to run 26.2 miles across Chicago and one of ours finished her first marathon yesterday! Months of training- long runs and dedication paid off-. It was inspiring to watch and cheer her on!

Her friends and the over one million people who supported and cheered the marathoners in Chicago yesterday were truly amazing!

We humans can do incredible things and truly support and lift others—- The runners could not do it without the support of the cheering million—- or the City that coordinates everything before and after the big race—-

Macoupin County CEO is definitely one of the most impactful programs we have for our high school students. Staunton Family Dentistry was honored to host the 2026-27 cohort- CEOs of the future!The students got an in-depth tour, an introduction to behind-the scenes working of a general dental practice and frank conversations with staff and real patients! Just a weird dental fact:

Alpacas do not have front upper teeth! They live their lives without the ‘SOCIAL SIX’, which gives them their unmistakable smile or underbite—-

Alpacas chew with their bottom incisors hitting against the hard surface of the palate—

We humans need our front upper teeth to ‘incise’ (corn on the cob, for example), for speech and for esthetics (our own smiles!)
