Bray, DMD and Young, DMD

Bray, DMD and Young, DMD We commit ourselves to provide the highest quality dental care in an atmosphere of concern for each patient’s individual needs. Bray, DMD, & Young, DMD, P.C.

was established in 1990, but we have been practicing in Statesboro since 1986. Dr. Bray and Dr. Young have been married since 1983 and are blessed with 3 children. A family-oriented practice has been their goal from the beginning. They desire to be the primary dental care providers for every member of a family from birth through their golden years. However, there is no requirement that every famil

y member be a part of the practice. Both Dr. Bray and Dr. Young accept referrals from other dentists for specific services or limited periods of time. Dr. Young frequently cares for only the children in a family when the parents are established with another dentist. Those children generally transfer to their parent’s dentist at an appropriate time. Our expected outcome is to establish and maintain good dental health for the entire family. Dr. Young has gifts and passion for dealing with children that is truly amazing. Dr. Bray enjoys the variety of general practice and helping his patients achieve dental health. Our Purpose:

“Beloved, I pray that in all respects you may prosper and be in good health, just as your soul prospers.” 3 John 2

We commit ourselves to provide the highest quality dental care in an atmosphere of concern for each patient’s individual needs. We commit ourselves to provide this high quality of dental care for fees that reflect our skill and expertise and that will yield a reasonable return for our services.

Even great brushers can have spots that are tough to reach! Dental sealants are a thin protective coating placed on the chewing surfaces of certain permanent teeth to help keep cavity-causing bacteria out of those tiny grooves.

And if a cavity does develop, Dr. Young can recommend the appropriate treatment, including tooth-colored or silver fillings when needed.

A little prevention can go a long way toward keeping growing smiles healthy! 💙🦷

September is Gum Care Month, a great reminder that a healthy smile is about more than just your teeth!

Your gums help support and protect your teeth, but early signs of gum disease can be easy to overlook. Daily brushing and flossing, along with regular dental cleanings and exams, can go a long way toward keeping your gums, and your smile, healthy for years to come.

For children age 3 and older, we typically invite them to head back with our team while parents relax in the reception area. We’ve found that many children feel more confident and comfortable experiencing their visit independently in a space designed just for them!

Afterward, Dr. Young will talk with you about your child’s dental health, answer questions, and share any recommendations. 💙🦷

Our goal is simple: a positive dental experience for your child and peace of mind for you.

Did you know? Tooth enamel is the hardest substance in the human body, even stronger than bone! But while enamel is incredibly strong, it can't grow back once it's damaged. That's why healthy habits like brushing twice a day, limiting sugary snacks and drinks, and visiting the dentist regularly are so important for protecting your smile. Strong teeth start with healthy habits, and we're here to help every step of the way!

Baby teeth don't just help children chew and smile. They also hold the proper space for permanent teeth developing underneath. When a baby tooth is lost earlier than expected, nearby teeth may begin to shift into the open space. In some cases, Dr. Young may recommend a space maintainer, a small dental appliance designed to keep that space open until the permanent tooth is ready to come in.Protecting that space now can help support proper tooth alignment and prevent more complicated dental concerns later.

Between school supplies, sports schedules, and getting everyone back into a routine, it's easy to make sure everyone else is taken care of first. Don't forget about your own smile.

Preventive dental care is one of the easiest ways to protect your oral health and catch small concerns before they become bigger, more costly problems. While you're scheduling appointments for the kids, consider checking your own cleaning and exam off the list, too.
