DON'T UNDERESTIMATE A NIGHT GUARD. Fact, teeth fracture too!. This is a perfectly healthy tooth. Notice the crack down to the root. It becomes non restorable. A root canal could be done to relieve pain but will fail and get infected shortly after. Only treatment in this case is extraction. Patient had NO CAVITIES , PERFECT HYGIENE. Main reason is clenching and that weakens the tooth enough that the last straw "a pizza crust" or "soft bread" will cause the final crack. If the fracture line was a bit superficial...maybe we could've saved it. Long story short if you clench/brux get a mouth guard. Get a good one. INVEST in it...at any age. Peace
