Beyond the heartbreaking loss of loved ones, whole communities are facing a daunting reality: thousands of homes are structurally unsafe and slated for demolition, leaving families homeless and dealing with severe financial and psychological trauma.
The impact spans multiple cities and municipalities, hitting vulnerable regions particularly hard—including Chocó, one of Colombia’s poorest and historically most overlooked departments, where emergency resources are critically needed.
