Congratulations to the Class of 2026!

Whether you're walking across a high school stage or a college one this month, the New You Smile team is cheering you on.

During graduation season, this is the time of year when we see a lot of families coming in for graduation photo touch-ups, professional headshots, and "next chapter" smile work. If your loved one (or you) is heading into something new and wants to walk in with the confidence of a smile that feels right, we're here.

Big congratulations to every grad and to every parent who got them there. We see you too!

Today, we're celebrating all the women who shape our lives.

The moms who raised us. The grandmas who spoiled us. The aunts, sisters, mentors, and chosen family who showed up when it mattered. The bonus moms and stepmoms who said yes to a role they didn't have to take. The women who longed to be mothers and carry that love in other ways every day. The ones who mother quietly, fiercely, and without asking for credit.

You are seen. You are appreciated. And the world is softer because of you.

From all of us at New You Smile, Happy Mother's Day.

On the final day of month, we want to highlight that April is Oral Cancer Awareness Month. It's one of the reasons your regular dental visits matter more than you might think.

At every exam, our team takes the time to check for early signs that most people would never notice on their own. It takes just a few minutes, but catching something early can change everything.

If you've been putting off your visit, this is your reminder. Schedule yours today. 📞 314-849-3234 | newyousmile.info

"Why do my gums bleed when I brush or floss?"

Bleeding gums are one of the most common questions Kerry hears as our Dental Hygienist, and the answer is usually inflammation.

When plaque builds up along the gumline, that area becomes more sensitive. Even gentle brushing or flossing can trigger bleeding.

The good news? Healthy gums don't bleed. Most people see improvement with consistent brushing, flossing, and regular cleanings.

If your gums bleed often, don't ignore it. We're here to help you keep your gums healthy and comfortable.

Taking care of your smile isn't just about your teeth—it's about your heart too. ❤️

Let’s hear from our very own, Dr. Amber Meyers, DMD:

“February is Heart Health Month, and we always remind our patients about the strong connection between oral health and cardiovascular health. Research shows that regular dental care, along with brushing and flossing at home, supports your overall wellness.

Let's protect your smile and your heart together.”

Sharon has been a Dental Assistant for nearly 40 years…30 of those right here at South County Complete Dental Care! ✨

These days, Sharon’s role has evolved beyond traditional dental assisting. Working with Dr. Fetsch on New You Smile cases, she handles IV sedation, monitors patients during surgery, and stays with them through recovery. “I’m with them through the whole journey,” she says. “It’s important to be there to support them.”

And she witnesses the emotional transformation firsthand. At the beginning, patients don’t want their photos taken. They turn away from the camera, reluctant to smile. “But by the end?” Sharon says. “They’re okay with it. You can see the difference.”

After years in orthodontics and general dentistry, this work has brought fresh energy to Sharon’s career. She loves learning new skills and working alongside her team, especially her “bestie” Louise, who’s been here just as long.

“We’re like family,” Sharon says. “Everyone gets along, and we’re pretty laid back. Patients are treated kindly here.”

At home, Sharon lives with her sister, her niece, a little Chihuahua named Ice, and Buttercup—a big yellow tabby cat who looks like a lion.

We’re so grateful for Sharon’s warmth, expertise, and the decades of care she’s given to our patients.
