Thank you to our School Board members for taking the time to listen to our concerns, have an open discussion, and provide a thoughtful response. We absolutely understand the importance of education, consistent attendance, and having our children in school. We also appreciate the willingness to listen to families and recognize that there can be circumstances that deserve consideration and understanding.

It means a lot to know that our voices were heard and that communication can take place respectfully on both sides. Thank you again for your time, your consideration, and for responding so quickly to our concerns. We truly appreciate it. ❤️

📣 Northeastern Local Schools Families & Community Members

I wanted to share that the Northeastern Local School Board meeting is tonight from 5:30–6:30 PM at 4435 Bosart Rd., Springfield, OH 45503.

One topic being addressed is the district’s new unexcused absence policy as it relates to dental appointments. Dr. V has requested an opportunity to speak at the meeting and share concerns regarding how this policy may affect students and families who need necessary dental care during school hours.

If this is an issue that affects your family—or if you simply want to better understand the policy and hear the discussion—we encourage you to attend tonight’s meeting and be part of the conversation.

Dental offices often work closely with families and schools to minimize missed classroom time while still making sure children receive the care they need. We’re hopeful tonight can provide an opportunity for an open, respectful discussion about how those needs can be balanced. 🦷❤️
