This Sunday starting at 3pm, the health department will open scheduling of COVID-19 vaccines for those age 40 and over.
‼💉 COVID-19 Vaccine Appointment Update as of 3/25/2021 on behalf of the Florida Department of Health in Hernando County (DOH-Hernando) 💉‼
The CDR Maguire Health & Medical patient portal will go live to book COVID-19 vaccine appointments, this Sunday, March 28, at 3 p.m. for Floridians age 40 or older who would like to schedule an appointment for the first dose of the vaccine at the Hernando County Fairgrounds.
Appointments are required to get the vaccine. Walkups will not be accommodated. Those receiving the vaccine will be required to provide documentation of age such as a driver’s license, government-issued ID, birth certificate or passport.
The health department has received 1,500 total doses of the vaccine, to be administered in the following two, 750-dose blocks:
• March 30th from 9 a.m.- 3 p.m. at the Hernando County Fairgrounds (6436 Broad St., Brooksville, FL. 34601)
• March 21st from 9 a.m.- 3 p.m. at the Hernando County Fairgrounds (6436 Broad St., Brooksville, FL. 34601)
The Hernando County appointment portal will go live at 3 p.m. on March 28, 2021. People can then schedule their appointments in one of the above slots on a first come, first served basis using the two options shown below:
• Online by CDR HealthPro™ portal at www.patientportalfl.com
• By phone at (844) 770-8548
Recently, the State of Florida released information about a pre-registration system at myvaccine.fl.gov. This site is independent of Sunday’s signup for vaccines at the Fairgrounds. Registering at that site DOES NOT REPLACE signing up at the Patient Porta. You must register and log into www.patientportalfl.com to register for the appointments that will go live Sunday.
