While small businesses love having a spotlight on them once a year, it is usually only in the form of promoting retail purchases. On this Small Business Saturday, would you consider looking into how your state supports (or doesn't) small businesses, and consider how you might do more to help, such as writing your representatives or considering business impacts when voting? One article sums it up nicely for our state:
"The businesses that generate our state’s economic prosperity have spoken clearly. Taxes are too high; regulations are too heavy; and the cost of doing business is becoming prohibitive. If lawmakers insist on repeating the same mistakes, they shouldn’t feign shock when businesses stop expanding, stop hiring, or simply move to another state."
