In July Dr. Rick received his Fellowship with the Academy of General Dentistry. Only 6 percent of general dentists in the United States and Canada have achieved this designation. An FAGD dentist has completed over 500 credit hours of high quality approved continuing education and 350 of those 500 credits in live courses. Furthermore, they must pass an exam equal in difficulty to board certification exams.

Shannon and Dr. Rick travelled to Seattle for an intensive two day course at the prestigious Kois Center. This transformational course advanced their knowledge of gum disease and the overall health of their patients. Shannon learned the integrative role of the “Periodontal Therapist” and how Dental Hygenist can have a huge impact on a patient’s overall wellness.
