John Dunbar, DMD, FAGD, earned his dental degree from the Medical University of South Carolina College of Dental Medicine, after earning his bachelor’s degree from The Citadel. He has undergone extensive postgraduate education, achieving Fellowship with the Academy of General Dentistry. His advanced training in IV sedation and implants allows him to incorporate these treatments into his practice a

nd give you the smile of your dreams in complete comfort. Dr. Dunbar’s commitment to lifelong education means he is constantly evaluation emerging dental methods and technologies in order to provide his patients with the best results in the least invasive manner with a high emphasis on comfort. This commitment ensures the highest level of care, both today and tomorrow. In addition to the Academy of General Dentistry, Dr. Dunbar is a member of the American Dental Association, American Academy of Implant Dentistry, American Dental Society of Anesthesiology, South Carolina Dental Association and Spartanburg County Dental Society. He also serves the community as chairman of the board of trustees for the South Carolina School for the Deaf, Blind and Multi-handicapped. He and his wife Merimac have two children, and in his spare time he enjoys hunting, fishing, and flying. Paul Gibas, DDS, is a graduate of the University of Rochester and the University of Buffalo School of Dental Medicine. Prior to entering private practice, he served a general practice residency at East Carolina University. Dr. Gibas has pursued continuing education in the areas of cosmetic dentistry, dental implants, and orthodontics, including both Invisalign and Clear Correct clear aligners that allow him to provide his patients with discreet straightening and beautiful smiles. A member of the American Dental Association, South Carolina Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, and American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, Dr. Gibas likes to spend his free time snowboarding, golfing, fishing, surfing and watching Buffalo Bills football.
