Thank you to everyone who showed up in support for SHADED grand opening! It was so special to share it with so many of you.
I really wish I had prepared a speech, because there are so many people I wanted to thank and things I wanted to say but I just ended up getting emotional and crying to you guys instead lol 😂😭
Here’s what I wanted to say:
This business started as a side hustle because ultimately I just loved spray tanning and wanted to do something I loved and had fun with and might as well pay off some bills with it too. Then, I quickly realized the impact this was making on the community and for me. I get to witness people in their most vulnerable state and that comes with not only a lot of laughs and happy memories, but it also comes with people sharing their rawest emotions and feeling like they can open up about their super intimate personal feelings and experiences. I feel honored to have people feel safe with me.
Some might think “but it’s just a spray tan”. Yes… and no. It’s more than that for a lot of us. It’s what gets some people out of bed in the morning because they feel better about themselves, they are able to show up to the gym, they are more confident on that first date, they needed a break up pick me up, they were ready to finally ask for that raise, feel good in their body after a major surgery, skin cancer survivors, to walk down the aisle with all eyes on them and feel like ‘that girl’, go on vacation and actually wear the damn bikini 👏🏼
These are all reasons I’ve had people book with me and there are a hundred more stories I could share.
I’m so excited to share this space with all of you. Reno’s first spray tan salon, where we offer you an elevated experience. Because you f**kin deserve it! Any body type, skin type, we don’t care what you look like, we just want to give you the best results and have you feeling incredible!✨
Thanks to my family/friends for their support through the years, my dad for building this beautiful space, Robby for being my rock, and to all of you who helped make this dream possible.
