Part 2: Luke and I spent 7 days in beautiful Vietnam 🇻🇳, at Ho Chi Minh and Phu Quoc. Luke served his mission in San Jose, CA speaking Vietnamese, so it was so fun to have Luke as our guide and he absolutely loved speaking Vietnamese. The locals were so impressed that he could speak Vietnamese, it was fun to see their reaction to Luke when he spoke to them, they all were so surprised that a foreigner could speak their language. We enjoyed attending church at a branch in Ho Chi Minh and talking to the members. We visited the deep back country and jungles to the Cu Chi Tunnels, Vietnam War Remnant Museum, and shot machine guns. We experienced first hand a very small sample of what the US soldiers experienced coming to Vietnam to war. I gained such a deep appreciation for those that served in the Vietnam War and for ALL veterans! I am so grateful and feel so blessed to live in the USA🇺🇸!!! We visited the Mekong Delta and paddled on little boats through little rivers, found some good shopping, ate some yummy Vietnamese food, rode motor scooters (I’ve never seen so many scooters in all my life), & had a fun pool and beach day relaxing. We truly experienced so much of the Vietnamese culture and the people were so kind, humble, and welcoming. Trip of a lifetime!!!
