It must be asked... Why build during this devastating COVID year? Before COVID hit, to move and build was motivated by a desire to improve. To offer more. To offer better.
To continue this path even as a government mandate forced us to close for almost 2 months was 2 part. First, though disrupted and unknown, the fact is "life will go on" We will continue to pursue life as it can and should be. And 2nd, in order to continue our desired, "normal" lives; change is needed.
To keep my office open, I felt like the office needed more open space. More possible 'social distancing" A larger reception area to allow comfortable seating with way more spacing than we even dreamed of before.
I don't want to live in a box, so to maintain an open feel, there will be floor to ceiling glass separating each room. That way, we can feel openness, and yet we will have the separation and cleanliness of separate rooms. I don't know what steps we will need to take to have clean, CDC approved offices in the future, but I wanted to get ahead, and build a more advanced and more sterile office than they have even considered. I wanted to put in place measures that are more cautious than they would ever require. Yet keeps us from isolation. Change was needed, and here it comes!
