The Man Behind the Milestone. 💚
Fifty years ago, Tony walked through the doors of Kulzer, formerly known as Jelenko, after a friend referred him for a job in his hometown. He wasn’t expecting much. He simply needed a job.
What he found was something much more meaningful.
He found a company he believed in, people who became lifelong friends, customers who became lifelong relationships, and a family that would become such an important part of his life.
Over the past 50 years, Tony has built an incredible career—from starting in an entry-level position to becoming one of the best refiners in the industry. It’s an accomplishment he is incredibly proud of and one that reflects the dedication, loyalty, and passion he has brought to Kulzer throughout his career.
When asked what has kept him here for five decades, Tony put it simply:
“The company has always been great to me and my family. I believed in the vision we have always had—to be the best. I am loyal to the company because they have always been great to me.”
And perhaps what makes Tony’s story most special is that, after 50 years, what he remembers most isn’t a title, a position, or a particular accomplishment.
It’s the people.
The friends. The customers. The colleagues. The relationships that have lasted a lifetime. And that feeling of family that has been part of Kulzer from the very beginning.
When asked what advice he would give his younger self on that first day, Tony’s answer perfectly captures his spirit:
“I set out to have a good time, make a living, and be a good employee. It is possible to do all three.”
Tony, thank you for 50 years of hard work, loyalty, friendship, laughter, and dedication. Thank you for the countless people you've impacted and the many ways you've helped make Kulzer what it is today.
