Dear Patients:
We hope this letter finds you and your family in good health! Our community has been through a lot over the last few months, and we are all looking forward to resuming our “normal” habits and routines. While many things have changed, one thing has remained the same: our commitment to your safety.
Infection control has always been a priority for our practice. Protocols are in place so that when you receive care at Cornick Family Periodontics, it is both safe and comfortable. We want to explain the additional and improved infection control procedures we will be implementing to keep patients and staff protected.
Our office follows infection control recommendations made by the American Dental Association (ADA), the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). We closely monitor these agency’s updates so that we are aware of any new guidance they may issue.
Our new procedures will be applied immediately to protect our patients and staff. For example:
• Our staff will ask screening questions when you schedule your appointment. These questions will be repeated prior to your entering the building.
• We respectfully request that you call us from your vehicle to let us know that you have arrived, and remain there until we call you. That way, we can usher you directly to the treatment room.
• We ask that you wear a mask upon entering the building, and keep it on until you are seated in the treatment room. If you do not have a face mask we will gladly provide one.
• Patients will have their temperatures taken before entering the building. Any temperature over 100.4F will result in the appointment being rescheduled.
• We will ask you to apply hand sanitizer after you have entered the building. Additionally, there will be some available throughout the office.
• Appointments will be managed to allow for social distancing between patients.
We have invested in PPE, plexiglass partitions at the reception desk, air purifiers for all treatment rooms, waiting room/reception area, extra-oral suction systems, as well as air-quality monitors.
Although we have been seeing emergency patients during this crisis, our office will officially re-open Monday, June 8. You are welcome to contact us regarding any of the new protocols we have established to keep you, our valued patient, safe in our practice.
To make an appointment,
please call our office at 908-526-0545.
Thank you for trusting us with your dental care. We look forward to welcoming back our patients, neighbors and friends!
Sincerely,
Dr. Peter Cornick and the Cornick Family Periodontics Team
