TEAM MEMBER SPOTLIGHT: ⭐DR. WERMERSON⭐
Get to know Dr. Wermerson, the founder of Wermerson Orthodontics! Dr. Wermerson opened our office in November 2016 and has loved helping patients create confident, healthy smiles ever since.
Dr. Wermerson can’t live without Jesus, and when he’s not at the office, you can usually find him enjoying the outdoors. He loves spending his days off doing yard work, golfing, relaxing with his family at the lake, and cheering on the Iowa Hawkeyes. His favorite local spots are any of the golf courses around Sioux Falls!
Before becoming an orthodontist, Dr. Wermerson played college basketball at Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota, and also served as a Navy dentist. During his first year in the Navy, he completed a one year General Practice Residency program at Naval Medical Center in San Diego. He then served 2 years aboard the USS Rushmore, our state's amphibious assault ship, as the ship's dental officer. Following this, he worked with the Marines at Marine Corps Air Station Miramar in San Diego, CA. His experiences have helped shape the dedication, leadership, and care he brings to his patients and team every day.
One of Dr. Wermerson’s favorite things about being an orthodontist is seeing patients’ smiles and watching their confidence grow throughout treatment. Being part of those transformations is what makes his job so rewarding.
We’re so grateful for Dr. Wermerson’s leadership and vision and for everything he does to make Wermerson Orthodontics such a special place!
