Last week I flew to NYC for literally 12 hours for the Incisal Edge magazine Top 40 Dentists Under 40 photoshoot. What an honor it was to even be nominated and considered for this award, much less selected for it! It’s interesting to me looking back on the journey that got me here…..
horrible associateships where patients were treated like insurance cards….
Working for people that treated their teams poorly….
Having a baby 2 months prematurely and in the NICU while quitting a job I hated- ready to give up on dentistry all together…
Opening a scratch start practice 6 weeks before COVID…
One of the questions Incisal Edge magazine asked me was if I could go back and change those things would I- and the answer is whole heartedly one thousand percent NO! Every single one of those things made me who I am today, and gave me the strength and determination to carry me on my journey. It showed me the business owner and boss that I never wanted to be, it showed me the type of team that I never wanted to have, it brought into my life some of my absolute best friends (hey Ideal Practices | Startup Dental Consultants and Clinical Mastery Series !!)
Sometimes the journey is what it’s all about. There’s never a pearl without some grit. 🦪❤️🦷
