Since then, he has completed hundreds of hours of continuing education courses and possesses advanced training in dental implants, oral surgery, dental prosthetics, and Invisalign. Dr. Sara Saba is a trusted dentist who is married to Dr. Allafi. With a dental career spanning nearly 10 years, she enjoys working with her hands and helping children achieve healthier smiles. During her time as a dentist, she has completed various courses that focus on FastBraces, Invisalign, and Botox/dermal fillers. Another integral team member is Dr. Amy Hong, who enjoys building long-lasting relationships with her patients. Working as a dental assistant early on in her career, she became passionate about the combination of art, science, and technology that dentistry required. After volunteering with Mission of Mercy in Maryland and traveling to Ecuador and Peru on mission trips, she decided to complete her undergraduate degree at the University of Maryland at College Park before earning her dental degree at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Hong then completed a General Practice Residency at the Washington, DC VA Hospital and has gone through an Oral Health Literacy Intensive Program to improve doctor-patient communication, which can often be challenging because of language, culture, and literacy. She has also pursued continuing education through the American Dental Association, Maryland Dental Association, American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, Academy of General Dentistry, and SPEAR Education. Did you know children have 20 baby teeth? 🦷

They typically erupt in a set pattern, usually starting with the lower front teeth and ending with the back molars. Even though they're temporary, baby teeth are important for guiding permanent teeth into place.

When did you start noticing your little one's baby teeth? We'd love to know in the comments!

Chlorine can lower mouth pH over time, so rinsing with water after swimming and staying hydrated may help protect enamel.

Vitamin D helps the body absorb calcium to keep teeth strong. Children can get it from sunlight, dairy products, eggs, and certain fish ☀️

Even a calcium rich diet may not fully support teeth without enough Vitamin D.

Did you know Vitamin D was so important for dental health? Share your thoughts in the comments!
