📍 Positions will work between our **Shreveport & Bossier** locations, so flexibility between offices is important.

What to expect with gum disease treatment: Scaling is a procedure during which Dr. O’Neill uses fine dental instruments to clean beneath your gumline, where bacteria and plaque typically accumulate. For root planing, he goes deeper, down to the very roots of your teeth, where plaque and tartar can build up. There he smoothens out the roots, removing existing plaque, preventing new plaque from forming, and enabling your gums to reattach to the tooth enamel. Smooth surfaces deny bacteria a place to hide, so smoother teeth are less likely to suffer their destructive effects. Both of these treatments will not only protect you from further disease, they’ll also give you fresher breath!
