On Sunday April 24 the SSCD team and their pups had a blast at the All In For Autism 5k/10k Walk/Run! We are proud to provide dental care for those with Autism Spectrum Disorder and thank this organization for the opportunity to help support the broader ASD community.

Governor Jay Inslee has issued an executive order prohibiting non-urgent medical and dental care in our state until at least May 18, 2020. This is intended to protect the health of the public and to preserve supplies of personal protective equipment for those providing critical care in the hospital setting. We take this order very seriously at Seattle Special Care Dentistry and have immediately implemented the following policies:

🦷 Our office is closed until further notice. We will post information on our website as we receive updates from the Governor's office and the Washington State Department of Health regarding a reopen date.

🦷 A SSCD dentist and staff member will be available to manage dental emergencies throughout this entire closure. Please phone our office at 206-524-1600 if you have any concerns or feel you need to be seen. Special arrangements will be made to promptly and safely provide emergency care to our patients.

🦷 If you have an appointment scheduled between now and May 18th please assume that appointment is canceled. We will also be reaching out to you via phone and mail to ensure that you receive this message.

🦷 Once this order is lifted, additional hours will be added to our schedule to accommodate those patients impacted by this closure. We are fortunate to have a talented, caring staff committed to maintaining your oral health.

We recognize this is a terrible time for everyone on so many levels. Your patience and understanding are appreciated as we all navigate through this crisis. We look forward to seeing you as soon as possible.

Last week Drs. Winston and Letwin, along with our resident doctors, spent the day in Olympia for Dental Action Day While there, they met with legislators to discuss the importance of improving dental care throughout Washington State. Advocating for all patients, especially those in underserved populations, will always remain a top priority for our doctors.
