80% of Arizona veterans don't receive dental care through the VA. 🇺🇸

That stat stopped us in our tracks too.

The AzDA CARES Foundation is stepping in — connecting veterans with volunteer dentists providing crowns, dentures, and the care they need to eat, speak, and sleep comfortably.

The American Dental Association is pushing back hard against Delta Dental's move to charge dentists a weekly $15 fee just for receiving payment by paper check.

That's right, they want to charge YOU an extra fee for how you get reimbursed.

The ADA sent a letter to the National Association of Insurance Commissioners on July 8th urging regulators nationwide to oppose this payment policy shift and support oversight of insurance companies pulling moves like this.

AzDA stands with the ADA on this. Insurance companies already control reimbursement rates, they shouldn't also get to charge you a fee for how you receive them.

Arizona just made history. 🦷

HB 2308 is now law, and it means dental insurance companies can no longer own your practice.

When the payer and the payee are in the same office, patient care suffers. AzDA saw the problem and fought to fix it. Nearly unanimous through the House and Senate, signed by the Governor.
This is what it looks like when your association goes to work for you. We're not stopping here. Next year, we'll be fighting for you again.
