You do not always need a full set of veneers to make a noticeable change.

For this patient, just 4 upper porcelain veneers were used to refine the teeth that stood out most in his smile. We focused on improving their shape, brightness, and symmetry while maintaining proportions that complemented his natural teeth and kept the overall result strong and masculine.

By matching the veneers closely to the surrounding teeth, the final smile feels cohesive rather than noticeably treated.

If there are a few teeth you would like to improve, a more conservative veneer treatment may be an option. Submit your FREE virtual smile consult through the link in bio to see what could work for your smile.

Sometimes you know you want to change your smile, but you cannot quite pinpoint what is bothering you.

It could be the color, worn or chipped edges, uneven shapes, spacing, or a few teeth that seem to stand out in every photo. Veneers can address several of these concerns at once, and the right treatment plan may be more conservative than you think.

Every smile starts with figuring out what you want to change and what will create the most natural result for you.

Staining, spacing, and uneven edges were drawing attention away from this patient’s smile.

Dr. Hicks placed 10 custom upper porcelain veneers to improve the color, shape, proportions, and overall alignment of the visible teeth. Subtle texture and translucency were incorporated into the porcelain to help the restorations reflect light like natural enamel and complement the patient’s features.

The result is a brighter, more polished smile with a natural finish.

Even dentists remind their kids of the basics.

Brushing twice a day and flossing every day are two of the most important habits you can build for a healthy smile. But great home care is only part of the equation. Regular checkups allow us to catch cavities, gum disease, and other concerns early, often before you notice any symptoms.

A few minutes of prevention today can save you from more complex treatment down the road.

8 upper porcelain veneers created a brighter and more balanced smile for this patient.

We refined the length, shape, proportions, and symmetry of the front teeth to improve the overall smile line while keeping the result natural to the patient’s features.

The subtle details in each restoration allow the veneers to blend beautifully and give the smile a more polished presence without appearing excessive.

Every veneer case is customized to the individual, from the contours and shade to the way the teeth complement the lips and face.

One of the most common questions I get is, "What's stronger: a crown or a veneer?" The answer isn't as simple as you might think.

A crown is technically stronger because it's a full porcelain restoration that covers the entire tooth. But that doesn't automatically make it the better option.

When possible, I prefer preserving healthy tooth structure. That's one of the reasons I love no-prep and minimal-prep veneers. They wrap just around the edges of the tooth while keeping the majority of your natural enamel intact. Strong enamel creates an excellent bonding surface, which is one of the keys to long-lasting veneers.

The best treatment isn't about choosing the strongest restoration. It's about choosing the most conservative option that will achieve a beautiful, predictable, and long-lasting result for your specific smile.

A comprehensive restoration designed to bring balance back to the entire smile.

For the upper arch, Dr. Hicks used a combination of crowns and implant-supported restorations across 10 total units to replace missing teeth, restore compromised areas, and rebuild the smile line.

The upper restoration was also carefully designed to complement the patient’s existing fixed implant denture on the lower arch.

The result is improved function, stronger support, and a more cohesive appearance between the upper and lower teeth.

A closer look at the craftsmanship behind this fixed zirconia hybrid restoration. 🦷

Every detail, from the tooth shapes and natural contours to the gingival characterization, was carefully designed to create a full-arch restoration that looks realistic and functions comfortably.

The strength of zirconia makes this a durable alternative for patients who have experienced repeated fractures with conventional dentures or implant overdentures. Once secured to the implants, the restoration remains fixed in place and does not need to be removed by the patient each day.
