Little White Tooth is a mom & veteran-owned practice founded by Dr. Candace Veneberg, a board-certified pediatric dentist in Scottsdale specializing in airway-focused, whole-child care — and home of the Breathe & Grow™ Protocol. As a mom owned specialty pediatric dental office, we welcome parents and caregivers to accompany their child to all dental visits. Treating our patients like family is our highest priority.

Jaw growth begins long before adult teeth arrive.

Breathing, tongue posture and chewing all help us understand how growth is unfolding.

Not every concern means treatment or an expander. Sometimes the first step is simply knowing what to look for.

Wondering how your child is growing? DM us GROW.

A child’s profile is about more than appearance.

When I look at a child from the side, I’m noticing how the upper and lower jaws relate, how the lips rest, and the direction the face is growing.

Adults may use filler to change a profile after growth is complete.

Children still have something adults do not: growth.

That does not mean every child needs treatment. And a profile alone cannot tell us everything.

But when something is influencing how a child breathes, rests or grows, recognizing the pattern early gives us more time to understand it.

Take a look at your child from the side when they are relaxed. You may start noticing things differently.

Curious about what you see? DM us PROFILE, and we’ll help you understand the next step.

Because growth doesn’t wait.

“I don’t know if I’m imagining it, but she seems different.”

Three weeks into her daughter’s Breathe & Grow treatment, this mom was already noticing changes at home.

Her daughter seemed more rested. She wasn’t waking during the night. And her mom felt more rested too.

It is still early, and every child’s experience is different. But I never underestimate what a parent notices in their own child.

Moments like this are what continue to fuel my passion for Breathe & Grow.

Your child's mouth is telling you something. Are you catching it?

Mouth breathing isn't just about crooked teeth. It's saliva, gum health, sleep, jaw growth, how their mouth actually functions, and so much of it develops right now, while they're still growing.

As a pediatric dentist, I have a unique window to catch these things early, and prevention, to me, has become much bigger than just cavities.

If your child can't focus, this is the first thing I'd look at.

Not their diet. Not their screen time. Not their routine.

Their sleep.

Because a child who isn't sleeping well can't focus, can't regulate their emotions, and can't learn the way they should, no matter how hard they try.

That doesn't mean it's ADHD. It means sleep is worth looking at first.

Mouth breathing. Crowded teeth. Restless sleep. Trouble focusing.

Individually, each one is easy to brush off.

But what if they're not separate issues, what if they're connected?

Childhood development doesn't happen in separate boxes. And your child's jaw and face are developing right now.

Swipe to see what I look at when the clues don't seem connected but probably are.
