Comprehensive restorative and ortho treatment, with the Meliners finishing in eleven months. We replaced broken down old silver fillings with composites and crowns, expanded his lower arch with the clear aligners, then reshaped his worn anterior teeth and placed one prepless composite veneer. The patient is ecstatic with the final outcome and doesn’t hide his smile anymore!

Discolored teeth are difficult teeth to restore. Many doctors will just use an opaque crown to mask the underlying discolored tooth, but a better option is to paint the prepped tooth a more natural color. Then a beautiful translucent crown can be made that better matches the surrounding teeth. These two crowns were created by Dr Melander, transforming this patient’s smile in one appointment!

These older crowns were overly opaque and bulky, causing them to stand out from the surrounding natural teeth - especially in everyday lighting, even more than these close-up photos show.

The new crowns were designed to blend seamlessly with her smile, matching the translucency, shape, and natural character of her adjacent teeth.

Best of all, the entire transformation was completed in a single visit. These crowns were digitally designed, handcrafted, stained and glazed by Dr. Melander - all in one day.

These two crowns on the central and lateral had a poor fit that led to recurrent decay. Their esthetics were acceptable but could definitely be improved upon- they were a little too opaque, monolithic in color, and too bulbous. Both crowns were removed and new crowns were placed. Typically this is a same day procedure but my initial crowns were a little too opaque. These crowns were cemented in a week later, their shape and color is almost a perfect match for the natural teeth.

Bioclear fillings are a great way to close pesky black triangles. Patients really love the results and they also like that no tooth structure is removed, it’s a purely additive procedure. This patient had all of her upper and lower teeth filled and it completely changed her smile.

This patient needed a crown on his central and was leaving the following day on a vacation. Luckily since I make almost everything same day I was able to give him his permanent crown before he left on vacation. Staining was done in the mouth, carefully touched up in the lab, and then baked the furnace. Getting a great shade match is much easier when you can see the crown next to the natural teeth as you’re working.

This patient hadn’t been to the dentist in ten years and decided to come in when a tooth broke off. He needed extensive restorative work- seven crowns and thirteen fillings. Once his teeth were in great shape he wanted to correct his anterior crossbite- three of his upper teeth were behind his lower teeth. 10 months of Meliner clear aligners was all it took to achieve this nearly perfect finish.

This year I've finally realized a dream that I've had for a decade. Veneers were always frustrating because I could never get the exact result that I wanted. After extensive discussions with the patient I would have a smile design in mind, but when using a lab something would always get lost in translation. Alternatively, I could go old school and wax up the design myself, but it would take hours and I could never achieve perfect symmetry.

I now have powerful dental lab software that lets me design and manufacture veneers from start to finish myself, with no input from a lab. Once the patient and I have a vision I'm able to create it.

This patient already had ten veneers on his upper teeth but he always wanted them to be bigger. His centrals were pretty good in length but he wanted other teeth a little longer his smile broader, what we call "filling the buccal corridor."

After the veneers are milled in the purple state I further refine their contours by hand, drawing in the line angles to help me visualize the shape and contours. Some stain and glaze and a 15 minute bake cycle and you get the finished product. The symmetry is perfect and at long last I have created a smile exactly how I envisioned it.

3D printed no prep veneers are an amazing treatment for people that want to avoid drilling on their teeth. This patient came in from out of town to have 10 veneers placed and didn’t want us to remove any tooth structure. We didn’t have time to replace the discolored crown on his central so we just placed a veneer on top of it. His next time in town we will remove the old crown and place a 3D printed one to get perfect symmetry on his centrals. If you want beautiful veneers but don’t want any shots or tooth reduction, you need 3D printed veneers at Enamor Dentistry.

This patient came for a second opinion to restore his implant, his previous dentist was charging an extra $500 for the lab to do a custom shade match. Because we custom stain all of our restorations in house, we don't need to charge extra or send patients to a lab for a custom shade. This implant crown blended in beautifully - with a shade gradient from top to bottom and a gentle white decalcification mark to match the surrounding teeth.
