She’s proud to build upon her father’s legacy by continuing to create beautiful smiles in our community! We specialize in Orthodontics for children and adults in the Central Wisconsin region. Since 1987, we've prided ourselves on providing our patients with the best in comprehensive orthodontic care in a comforting environment and convenient location, while paying attention to individual patient needs. In 2015, we saw the addition of Dr. Jen, the only female orthodontist in town, who is also Dr. Fehrman's daughter! From helping create beautiful smiles, to making patients feel comfortable and cared for, to always keeping our team laughing, Shannon has been such an important part of the Fehrman Ortho family.

Not every child needs Phase I treatment, but Cece is a great example of why early treatment can be so impactful when it’s truly needed.

Cece came to us with a crossbite that was affecting the way her upper and lower jaws fit together. With an expander and a short phase of partial braces, we were able to correct her crossbite, create a healthier relationship between her jaws, and give those growing permanent teeth a much better place to come in.

Phase I treatment isn’t about putting braces or an expander on every young child or trying to create a “perfect” smile early. It’s about identifying specific problems related to growth, development, function, airway health, and tooth position that are best addressed while a child is still growing and intervening when there’s a real benefit to doing so.

Cece’s before-and-after says it all! A first phase of treatment at the right time made a BIG difference. ✨

Somewhere along the way, these two became buddies, complete with plenty of laughs, brand new names (Elsie and Dr. Ben forever!), and a few very important hair styling sessions during appointments. Today, Elise got her beautiful braces-free smile, and Dr. Jen got one final hairstyle for the occasion.

There’s something pretty special about watching another generation grow up around the same office her grandpa started nearly 40 years ago. From Dr. Fehrman, to Dr. Jen, to this tiny future orthodontist in the chair, family has always been at the heart of Fehrman Orthodontics. 💚
