The dust has finally settled after our first Pink & White FP1 Course… and what an experience it was! 🦷✨

Now that we've had a little time to catch our breath, look back at everything, and reflect on those two incredible days, one thing is certain: this is just the beginning!

Before the first incision, there’s a plan. A lot of it. 🩷🤍🦷

A few highlights from the moments before surgery began at our Pink & White FP1 Course at ImplantWIDE. Case review, digital planning, final checks, team discussions, and getting every detail in place before stepping into surgery.

Because advanced implant dentistry isn’t just about what happens during the procedure. It’s about understanding the case, anticipating challenges, and having a clear surgical and restorative strategy before you ever pick up an instrument.

A fragment from our live surgery during the recent FP1 Pink & White course at .

This part of the surgery was focused on a socket shield at tooth #7 — the maxillary lateral incisor.

One of the critical steps is removing the apical portion of the root while keeping the facial shield completely stable and undisturbed. Easier said than done. 😅 There are definitely a few tricks involved… and sometimes a little bit of luck.

In this case, everything worked beautifully — and yes, I was pretty proud to show off that root tip afterward. 😎

Next, we utilized a surgical guide for four anterior implants, placing 3.75 × 13 mm Neodent implants. The osteotomy sequence was completed through the guide, although for final implant insertion I personally prefer having direct visual control whenever possible.

The remaining anterior teeth were intentionally preserved initially to help stabilize the guide and later support the fiducial markers for the Navident navigation system.

📲 We also used the new Micron Mapper scanning bodies with elevated QR-code markers — very convenient design and something we’ve really enjoyed working with. Thank you, Askar!

After scanning, the full-arch provisional restoration was delivered. Huge thanks to JB Dental Lab for the support and workflow. 🙌

The prosthesis was seated, suturing completed, and the navigation markers removed.

And yes… notice how nicely those fiducial markers stayed attached to their carriers. 😉 Sometimes the small details make a big difference.

Three days later, the soft tissue was already healing beautifully. 🌸 The patient had essentially no swelling and no bruising and was kind enough to record a great testimonial for us.

Just 3 days after surgery. 🦷✨

Friday: full-arch surgery.
Monday: back at work — and, in his words, “nobody even knows what happened.”

For this case, we removed the remaining upper teeth, placed 6 implants including 2 pterygoid implants, redesigned the smile, and delivered a same-day fixed provisional bridge.

What made us especially happy was how well he felt afterward — minimal swelling, a smooth recovery, and already enjoying his new smile just a few days later.

His reaction says more than we could:

“I was shocked and surprised — same as my wife. The next day I felt brand new. People were shocked how I felt after a couple of days, like nothing happened.”

And our favorite part:

“I would recommend you to all of my friends and family.” 🙏

Cases like this are always a team effort. Huge thanks to our entire clinical team and dental laboratory for helping us deliver the provisional smile the same day.

This is only the beginning — we’re looking forward to the healing process and the final result.

🩷🤍 Our first Pink & White FP1 Course at is officially in the books! 🦷✨

Two days of advanced implant dentistry, live surgery, honest discussion, and learning from real clinical decisions.

Day 1: Dr. Bogard and Dr. G performed a full-arch case featuring guided surgery with Navident, socket shield, soft-tissue grafting, pterygoid implants, advanced suturing, and real-time clinical decision-making.

Day 2: We went back through the recorded surgery frame by frame, discussing what worked, what challenged us, and most importantly, why each decision was made.

We were honored to welcome an incredible group of doctors from across the U.S. and Japan, representing periodontics, prosthodontics, oral surgery, and general dentistry. 🇺🇸🇯🇵

Our first Pink & White FP1 Course officially in the books. 🩷🤍🦷

A lot went into these two days — preparation, stress, teamwork, and definitely pushing ourselves outside of our comfort zone. But we felt the time had come to start sharing what we’ve learned with our colleagues.

We had an incredible group of doctors from across the country — and even Japan 🇯🇵 — including periodontists, prosthodontists, oral surgeons, and general dentists.

Day1-live surgery.
Dr. Bogard and I performed a full-arch case incorporating guided surgery and Navident, socket shield, soft-tissue grafting, pterygoid implants, advanced suturing, and plenty of real-time clinical decision-making.

What made the format different was doing the surgery first.

🎥 On Day 2, we went back through the entire recorded procedure frame by frame — stopping to explain why certain decisions were made, what worked, what did not go exactly as planned, and how we adapted in real time.

A very special thank you to our entire ImplantWIDE team for the tremendous amount of work behind the scenes and for making these two days possible.

We are also extremely grateful to our dental anesthesia team, especially Adrian, for the professionalism, support, and for keeping everything running safely and smoothly throughout the live surgery.

And a big thanks - JB Dental Lab for their professionalism, responsiveness, and substantial laboratory support throughout the course. Their contribution was a very important part of making the program come together.

This truly was a team effort, and we could not have done it without everyone involved. 🤝
