Right now, our leadership group is participating in a doctoral research study that looks at how leadership practices influence employee engagement and retention in multi‑location healthcare settings. In simple terms: we’re studying what helps team members feel supported, stay long term, and do their very best work for you and your family.

From his first visit to supporting our future RDH…

A little full‑circle moment for our family and our Dental Wellness Centers of GA team.

If you’ve been with us a while, you might remember the throwback photo we shared of Dr. Trout’s son as a baby at his very first dental hygiene visit… tiny in the chair, learning that the dentist could be a calm, positive place.

Fast‑forward 14 years, and here he is standing outside the dental hygiene clinic at Savannah Technical College, volunteering to be one of his sister’s very first patients as she works toward her RDH degree.

Tooth pain can ruin your whole day, but not every ache means you need to rush to the ER.

At Dental Wellness Centers of GA in Jesup, Richmond Hill, and Savannah …we help Coastal Georgia patients figure out what’s urgent and what can safely wait for a scheduled visit.

Here are a few quick guidelines we share with our patients:

• If you have severe pain, facial swelling, or fever, call a dentist right away. These can be signs of an infection that needs urgent attention.

• If you’ve chipped or broken a tooth but there’s no severe pain, rinse gently with warm water, avoid chewing on that side, and call to schedule the next available appointment.

• If a filling or crown comes off, keep the piece if you can, avoid very hot, cold, or sticky foods on that tooth, and contact us so we can get you in soon.

When you’re not sure, it’s always okay to reach out. We walk you through what you’re feeling, talk about your options, and help you decide the best next step for your situation.
