Greetings to our dental families! We are happy to report that our office is phasing back into fully reopening and we are working hard to follow all regulations and recommendations by the CDC, OSHA, Minnesota Department of Health, Minnesota Board of Dentistry and Governor Walz. Please check out our website (www.welchdentalcare.com) under COVID-19 for more information on our new office policies.

Since the last week of May, we have been focusing on rescheduling patients that were canceled and seeing our more urgent and emergent patients in the clinic. During these next few weeks of June, we ask for your patience as we continue focusing on getting everyone rescheduled that were previously canceled. If you are due for an appointment soon, please be patient with us when you call, as we have been experiencing a higher call volume than normal.

Welch Dental Care is committed to maintaining a safe and healthy environment for our staff, patients and community. We are so happy to be able to see our dental families again!

COVID-19 UPDATE: May 8, 2020

Greetings to our dental families! We hope this update finds you doing well. On May 5th, Governor Walz announced that as of May 11, dental offices can open for elective dental care. His updated executive order included requirements that must be met for a dental office to open. One of the Governor’s many requirements is PPE (personal protective equipment). As you may be aware, due to COVID-19 the required PPE is hard to come by. We are working hard to order in the needed products, but many are on backorder. Therefore, until we have the required protection for both patients and staff, our office will remain closed. We will contact you if we will need to cancel your dental appointment during this time.

As before, if you are experiencing a dental emergency, please call the after-hours emergency line at 320-229-2233. If you have a non-urgent dental question, please email pictures and your question to [email protected] and we will answer your question within the next 1-2 business days.

Welch Dental Care is committed to maintaining a safe and healthy environment for our staff, patients and community. We cannot stress how much we appreciate your patience with us during this time. Stay safe and stay healthy!!

*NEW COVID-19 UPDATE* April 9, 2020

We have a new update for our dental families. On April 8th, Governor Walz extended the ‘stay at home’ order to May 4th. Therefore, our dental office will have to remain closed during this time. If your family has a dental appointment scheduled during this time frame, we will be canceling your appointment. Please note, we will not be rescheduling appointments at this time. We will contact you to reschedule when we can resume business as usual.

As stated before, our doctors and staff are staying isolated at home during this time however, they will be available for severe dental emergencies. The Minnesota Board of Dentistry has stated examples of a severe dental emergency would be facial swelling due to an infected tooth, tooth pain from an infected tooth, a knocked out permanent tooth or a broken permanent tooth with an exposed nerve. Please call the after-hours emergency line at 320-229-2233 if you have a severe dental emergency.

If your family has a non-urgent dental question, you can email a picture and your question to [email protected] and a doctor will answer your question within the next 1-2 business days.

Welch Dental Care is committed to maintaining a safe and healthy environment for our staff, patients and community. We STRONGLY encourage everyone to stay home during this time.

We cannot stress how much we appreciate your patience with us during this time. Stay safe and stay healthy!!

*NEW COVID-19 UPDATE*

We have a new update for our dental families. On March 19th, Governor Walz issued an executive order in which dental offices will now have to be closed for a minimum of 30 days. Therefore, if your family has a dental appointment scheduled during this time frame, we will be canceling your appointment. Please note, we will not be rescheduling any appointments at this time. We will contact you to reschedule when we can resume business as usual.

As stated before, our doctors and staff are staying isolated at home during this time however, they will be available for any severe dental emergencies.

Lastly, because the time-period for the office closure has been extended, we would like to offer a way for families with a non-urgent dental question to reach a doctor. Therefore, if your family has a non-urgent dental question, you can now email a picture and your question to [email protected] and a doctor will answer your question within the next 1-2 business days.
