Could your child’s airway be affecting more than just their breathing? 👃🫁💤

Snoring is NOT always “just snoring.” Mouth breathing, restless sleep, bedwetting, daytime fatigue, difficulty concentrating, behavioral changes, headaches, and even certain facial growth patterns can sometimes be associated with an underlying airway or sleep-related breathing problem.

According to the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD), children who snore regularly should be evaluated for possible sleep-related breathing disorders. Research also shows that disrupted sleep and sleep-disordered breathing can affect attention, behavior, learning, and overall quality of life. 🧠💤

And here’s the important part… kids don’t always look tired when they aren’t sleeping well. Some children can actually become more hyperactive, irritable, or have difficulty focusing.

🎉🐶 HAPPY 5TH BIRTHDAY TO OUR SWEET SAMMIE!!! 🥳🎂💗

Our girl Sammie is officially FIVE! 🥹🐾 I seriously can’t believe how fast the time has gone. She has been coming to the office with us EVERY SINGLE DAY since she was just a tiny baby, and somehow our little office puppy is already 5 years old! 😭💕

If you’ve ever been to Santa Rosa Smiles, chances are you’ve met Sammie… and if you have, you already know why EVERYONE loves her! 🥰🐶 She is the sweetest, happiest, most spoiled good girl and she has completely become part of the Santa Rosa Smiles family. 🦷💙🐾

Celebrating 4 years of Maraya at Santa Rosa Smiles! 💜🦷

It’s hard to believe it’s already been 4 years! Maraya has been such a huge part of our team and has grown into an incredible dental assistant and an even better person.

She works hard, cares so much about our patients and our team, and brings so much personality and energy to the office every day. We are seriously lucky to have her and couldn’t imagine SRS without her!

Thank you for 4 amazing years, Maraya! We appreciate you more than you know and are so excited for everything still ahead! 💜

I see this exact stretch of coastline all the time when I’m out riding my bike, and it’s one of those views that never gets old. I’ve actually wanted a picture of it to hang in the office for a while, and somehow Dan completely read my mind.

Now we get to enjoy a little piece of one of our favorite places every day at Santa Rosa Smiles. 🏖️
