Do you want to know more about “silver” fillings and how we remove them safely? 🌺

First, a few facts:

-these fillings are actually 50% mercury, the most toxic non-radioactive metal on Earth

Our safe removal technique:👉 While following the strict guidelines of IADBM Protect protocol, we protect your head, your face and your body with special covers, and we use a special bur to collect the amalgam in chunks, so that we can safely put them aside in a box to protect the environment. These remnants are being sent out and safely discharged in a special facility. 🌱

We make sure that no particles get into your mouth, and thus your body, by using our Isolite (we make sure we isolate the area completely) or a rubber dam, and our high volume suction. We thoroughly rinse your mouth with charcoal to make sure all particles have been removed. 💚

While working on the removal of your amalgam fillings our air vacuum is on, and placed close to your mouth, in order to suction any mercury v***r; our HEPA filter air purifier is also on, to make sure the room stays mercury v***r free during and after our procedure! 👩‍⚕️

As we hope that everyone is staying safe and healthy, here is a note to reassure you and to reiterate that our safety protocols in place have been very successful: no one, among our patients or our team, has contracted Covid 19 by coming to our office. 😄

While there are rumors to limit or delay routine non-essential oral health care, including oral health check-ups, dental cleanings and preventive care, both CDA and ADA (California and American Dental Associations) strongly disagree: taking care of your oral health is considered as essential, since oral issues can impact your whole body. 💚

We are proud to say that we are keeping you safe in each of our procedures, including your cleanings, Invisalign, esthetic restorative dentistry, and elective surgery.

On another note, our new office is currently being built in Santa Monica! We are expected to be there in October. Our practice’s name is being changed to BIOSMILE: bio for biomimetics (conservative esthetic dentistry) and biological (safe and non toxic).
