The Santa Cruz Sentinel just shared how the Community Foundation Santa Cruz County is investing $2.1 million across 103 local nonprofits — a powerful boost to the safety-net organizations our community depends on.

As a long-time CFSCC partner, Dientes has seen firsthand how their steady leadership lifts up our entire nonprofit ecosystem. We're deeply grateful to be among this year's grantees.
Our CEO Laura Marcus shared how this support is making an immediate impact for Dientes patients: "Funding is helping power our response to a historic shift in healthcare policy. With more cuts taking effect as soon as July, your support gives us the ability to plan ahead, weather the storm, and keep our doors open to those who have nowhere else to turn."

CFSCC CEO Susan True adds: "In moments like this, steadiness really matters. The Community Foundation exists to be a consistent contributor to local needs." Our entire Dientes team came together for our annual staff retreat — diving into important trainings, fortifying our strategic vision for the year ahead, celebrating incredible staff milestones, and bonding over bingo, a scavenger hunt, prizes, and (of course) delicious lunch and ice cream treats!

But the very best part? Being side by side with the amazing humans who make our mission possible — united in bringing Dignity through Dentistry and lasting oral health to our Santa Cruz County community.

What a joy to gather at the annual Down to Earth Women (DEW) Luncheon!

We loved celebrating the incredible women in agriculture whose hard work nourishes our community, while supporting Agri-Culture's Focus Agriculture program, the Jimmie Cox Memorial Scholarship fund, and the Santa Cruz County Farm Bureau's educational programs.

Our incredible Outreach team recently brought big smiles (and brushing circles!) to two kindergarten classrooms at Radcliff Elementary, sharing the importance of brushing and flossing through story time, our silly tooth costume, and take-home hygiene kits for every student.

Beyond classroom education, our Outreach team regularly pops up a mobile dental clinic at schools across the county, meeting students right where they are, in the classrooms they visit every day.

This is just one of the many ways our Outreach program partners with and empowers 35+ organizations and schools across Santa Cruz County to build healthy habits, because lasting oral health starts in our community.
