After earning a B.S. in Architecture from Georgia Tech, Dr. Talebi began her career designing dental and medical offices. She was immediately drawn to the rewarding aspects of hands-on dentistry and direct patient care. Working
with dentists made her realize dentistry could be a life-affirming profession, which led her to earn a D.M.D. from the Dental College of Georgia. Dr. Talebi focuses her holistic practice on total wellness dental care, connecting oral health to overall health. She interviews each patient concerning their habits and lifestyle to understand their specific needs, dental or systemic. Realizing that dental anxiety and fear of judgment are obstacles for patients, she makes their comfort a priority and offers compassionate, empathetic care during all procedures. A pain free experience and patient comfort is the focus of her treatment. Dedicated to her profession, Dr. Talebi provides modern bio-neutral and minimally invasive solutions. She stays current with dental technology and the latest techniques through outstanding hours of continuing education. She volunteers her time and her skills in dentistry at the Ben Massell Dental Clinic where she serves the underprivileged in Atlanta. After hours she keeps an active lifestyle that includes cooking, hiking and painting. She is an avid traveler and has visited more than 20 countries, as a solo backpacker. Dr. Darrel J. Gilbert grew up in Rockaway, NY. He attended Stuyvesant High School in Manhattan NY and graduated from North Miami High School. He is a graduate of Emory University College in 1976 majoring in Chemistry. He attended Emory University School of Dentistry and graduated in 1981. Upon graduation, Dr. Gilbert was a part time teacher at Emory Dental School and opened a private practice in Sandy Springs. For over 40 years Dr. Gilbert has focused on Restorative Dentistry and has built a successful practice with an emphasis on creating relationships with patients, listening to everyone’s individual wants, needs, and their budget. He has always said, “I am in the people business and also happen to do dentistry as well.” He enjoys all aspects of restorative dentistry, including cosmetic dentistry, crowns, bridges, porcelain veneers and implants. He also provides Botox and dermal fillers used for pain elimination, TMJ issues, and facial proportions. He has attended world renowned graduate dental programs including The Pankey Institute in Miami, Florida, The Nash Institute in Charlotte, NC, as well as The Kois Center in Seattle Washington. He has been in private practice in Sandy Springs since 1985. He is married to Wendy Katz, an Orthodontist, and resides in Sandy Springs. Together, they have two married boys and one grandchild. Now working part-time, his hobbies include fishing, hiking, golf and worldwide travel.
