The Kent Rose Foundation, in partnership with the incredible Casting for Kids organization, is proud to once again support the nation’s largest free kids fishing tournament - happening June 5th & 6th at Paintsville Lake State Park Marina!

🐠 Mobile Aquarium – “Life Below the Waterline”
A 2,200-gallon traveling freshwater tank from the Foundation for Ohio River Education at Ohio River Valley Water Sanitation Commission (Ohio River Valley Water Sanitation Commission (ORSANCO)), filled with Paintsville Lake fish for kids to observe and learn from — all fish are returned safely to the water after the event!

🔬Kentucky Department of Agriculture’s Mobile Science Trailer
Hands-on science fun and a special project just for kids!

🦉 Outdoor/Nature Education

🎡 Sensory Playground (June 5th only!) Sponsored by Floyd County Tourism. A specially designed sensory-friendly play area for our special needs day. In addition we will have adaptive devices to help kids have the best fishing experience possible.

It is International Firefighters’ Day! We would like to take this opportunity to thank all firefighters for his or her services and concern for every community. Each of you volunteer your time and risks your lives to protect the folks in our communities. You give without ever expecting anything in return. Thus, the next time you see a firefighter, please shake his or her hand and say a simple “thank you.” Be proud of these men and women!!!
