With the incredible snowfall we’re enjoying, conditions can change quickly out there. We strongly encourage everyone to ski and ride with a partner and keep each other in sight, especially in deep snow and gladed terrain.

Look out for one another, have a blast, and don’t hesitate to ask Patrol if you have questions.

🚨 New Transceiver Checker Alert! 🚨

Attention everyone: a transceiver checker is now installed at the top of the T-bar! Before heading into the backcountry, take a moment to ensure your avalanche transceiver is transmitting properly.

A huge shoutout to the Idaho Panhandle Avalanche Center (IPAC) for helping keep our mountain community safe. Backcountry safety is a team effort—let’s all do our part! Check out the latest forecast and idahopanhandleavalanche.org

Hey everyone! Quick reminder that we have a very strict no uphill policy in place. Do not ski on the mountain today as we are doing active explosives control work. We are still dealing with the backcountry snow pack all over the mountain. Don’t lose your pass before the season starts

🚨 Avalanche Control Work in Progress 🚨

Hey snow lovers! We’re kicking off the season with a backcountry snowpack, which means your ski patrol team will be hard at work conducting avalanche control work with explosives over the next couple of days leading up to Opening Day.

This critical work is all about your safety and ensuring the mountain is ready for an amazing season. Our official policy is that we do not allow uphill traffic on the mountain. Do not ski (up or downhill), hike, or enter areas where we are working— please give us the space we need to work and keep everyone safe.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. We can’t wait to welcome you back to a safe and snowy mountain! Stay tuned for updates, and keep those snow dances going. .avydogs

Hey folks. Today is the day. We got more terrain open and we are stoked! But with that, we are still skiing early season conditions. That means that just under the surface, little trees, rocks, creeks and other hazards do exist. Ski with your friends in sight, tread lightly, download AirFlare and have some fun!

Gettin’ it done!! Unfortunately, the pond skim has been cancelled this season due to a hole in the liner. That just gave us a good excuse to put our expert shoveling and Pulaski skills to the test, chiseling out the liner remnants. We are reminded on a daily basis what it means to be a team and work together when it comes to times like this… Huge shout out to Dan for building what could have been 😎
