Dr. Ko & Dr. Yoon, both specialists in orthodontics, started Tri-Valley Orthodontics from the ground up. They work as a team to evaluate, diagnose & treatment plan each case to deliver the most comprehensive orthodontic care for each patient. Prior to receiving his DMD and Specialty Certification in Orthodontics from the University of Pennsylvania, Dr. Ko completed his Bachelors in Science and Mas
ters degree in Engineering from U.C. Berkeley. Drawing on his unique educational background and experience in both dentistry and orthodontics, Dr. Ko prioritizes creating a detailed custom treatment plan for each of his patients. Dr. Yoon is a San Francisco Bay Area native and comes from a family of healthcare providers. She has been providing orthodontic care for children, teens & adults since 2006. She received her Doctorate in Dental Surgery (DDS) from the UCLA School of Dentistry and completed her Orthodontics
Specialty Certificate & Masters in Oral Biology at the Loma Linda University Graduate Orthodontics Program. Her undergraduate training also began at UCLA where she majored in Molecular Cell & Developmental Biology ('98-'00) & completed her Bachelors in Science in Biology from Pacific Union College in 2002. Dr. Yoon is an Invisalign® Preferred Provider and is certified for lingual orthodontics. Dr. Yoon was awarded the National Institute of Health Dental Student Award in 2005 and completed a research fellowship at the NIH resulting in a publication in the Bone Journal. Her publication in Gene Therapy resulted from her time as a research associate at Sangamo Biosciences. Dr. Yoon's approach to orthodontics is conservative & focused on overall long-term dental health & wellness. Our orthodontic consultations are always complimentary. We provide a wide range of orthodontic services for children, teens & adults – from Metal & Clear Braces to Invisalign & Lingual (Invisible) Braces.
