If an anterior crossbite is left uncorrected it can cause anterior tooth chipping/uncontrolled fractures and can cause jaw growth discrepancies. Another precise result for anther great patient! Keep smiling William! 😁🦷

Anterior edge to edge occlusion can cause wear like chips and unpredictable fractures to teeth. Blocked out cuspids does not allow for proper canine guidance (protective bite). Excellent results for Kallie another amazing patient!✨🦷😁

A narrow arch can cause teeth to rotate and crowd while a broader arch allows teeth to be aligned.
Aryanna started with a narrow arch smile but we were able to achieve a beautiful broad “HOLLYWOOD” smile after treatment.
She’s smiling like a future movie star! :D

The use of headgear in orthodontics is still an excellent way of treating a patient that has a skeletal jaw discrepancy. The changes a headgear can make in a growing patient can prevent the need for surgery or for extractions of permanent teeth in Phase II or as an adult.
You can appreciate the profile changes accomplished by the headgear on this growing patient which is why it should be considered over a functional appliance. Headgear does not need to be worn at school but for optimal changes, it should be worn 12-14 hours a day including while sleeping.
This was an excellent result for a great patient!!! 😁

This growing patient presented with severe crowding of his maxillary anterior permanent teeth and a severely displaced maxillary incisor in the palate. His lower jaw was also shifting forward into an underbite.
We aligned his upper teeth and took advantage of his growth potential to correct his underbite while in treatment as well. This is another excellent Phase 1 result! The patient is not in retention, as we are waiting for all permanent teeth to erupt for Phase 2.

Mikhael was suffering from frequent headaches and didn’t realize that her bite and her teeth could exacerbate the frequency of headaches. Eliminating her anterior traumatic occlusion aided in an excellent result and has helped to almost completely diminish her headaches.
Mikhael had an amazing transformation that resulted in a beautiful smile! 😁

This patient had undersized maxillary laterals (also known as peg laterals) with severe lower crowding, an anterior crossbite of the lower left of the lower left cuspid, and an omega-shaped narrow arch form. Using Invisalign, we were able to eliminate all crowding, correct the crossbite, create a broad U-shaped coordinated arch form, and plan the patient for ideal sized anterior restorations.
