The COVID-19 pandemic has been a very challenging time for all of us. Many of you have been forced to wait for dental care, and we sincerely appreciate your understanding while we kept our office closed to routine care to help control the spread of the coronavirus.

We are excited to hopefully reopen soon for routine care and patient treatment sometime early June barring any directives from the state and local agencies.

We have been carefully planning and revising our office procedures to greatly minimize the risk of infection. Our own families are also patients here, so you can be assured that we will be taking care of you just as cautiously as we will be taking care of them.

Ever wonder which toothpaste is the best for you? With all the choices out there it is really hard to decide. When you are dealing with teeth sensitivity and/or inflammation of the gums which toothpaste should you buy? I recommend Crest Gum Detoxify because not only does it helps prevent gingivitis it can help reduce the inflammation. Did you know there are two types of ingredients that can help with sensitivity? Potasium Nitrate is a desensitizing agent that helps with sensitivity by numbing the nerve. Sensodyne is one of the most used toothpaste to help with sensitivity, and one of their active ingredient is Potasium Nitrate. The second ingredient is Stannous Fluoride. Instead of numbing the nerve, it blocks the dentinal tubules. This ingredient is found in Crest Gum Detoxify toothpaste. Now if you have been using Sensodyne for a long time and still feel sensitivity you should give Crest Gum Detoxify toothpaste a try.

You can clean your tongue with your toothbrush or a tongue cleaner. Using a tongue cleaner may be more effective than the toothbrush 😉
