📣 Harbor Community Health Centers (HarborCHC) has earned national recognition for community-based care, receiving seven Community Health Quality Recognition badges from the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) for excellence in clinical outcomes, access, prevention and health technology.

For the third consecutive year, HarborCHC earned the Health Center Quality Leader Gold badge, placing it among the nation’s top 10% of health centers for clinical quality. HarborCHC is the only community health center in Los Angeles County to achieve the seven-badge distinction. HarborCHC’s 2026 HRSA recognitions include:

Our first Long Beach Gives campaign is about more than reaching a fundraising goal. It's an opportunity to introduce more people to HarborCHC, share the impact of our work, and invite our community to stand behind our mission.

🏥 Community health clinics provide high-quality care that reflects the values, cultures, and needs of the communities they serve—from rural towns to urban neighborhoods and anywhere in between. Built by the community, for the community, they are staffed by people who often live in, look like, and speak the languages of the patients they care for.

But Prop 44 has major legal flaws that will financially penalize clinics for investing in important staff and patient services, forcing clinics to cut services or close, jeopardizing access to care.

With our new HarborCHC Long Beach Health Center now open and serving patients, we’re excited to take another important step in our commitment to the Long Beach community.

Long Beach Gives is a community-wide fundraising campaign that brings together more than 240 local nonprofits and encourages individuals and businesses to support organizations making a difference across Long Beach.

This year, that support is especially meaningful.

As some members of our community face changes or losses in health coverage and increasing barriers to accessing care, HarborCHC remains committed to ensuring our neighbors have somewhere to turn—even if they are newly uninsured.

That’s why our first Long Beach Gives campaign is about more than reaching a fundraising goal. It’s an opportunity to introduce more people to HarborCHC, share the impact of our work, and invite our community to stand behind our mission.

🎒✨ What an incredible day! ✨🎒

This past Tuesday, HarborCHC proudly celebrated National Health Center Week by giving back to the patients and communities we are honored to serve.

Together, we distributed about 300 backpacks filled with school supplies, along with dental kits to help students head back to school feeling prepared for a successful year ahead.

A heartfelt thank you to our amazing community partners for making this event possible. We are especially grateful to Baby2Baby and Community Resource Center in Wilmington for their generous backpack donations, and to Blue Shield Promise and Health Net for their additional contributions and support. Your partnership helped make a meaningful difference for our local families.

We wish all of our students a safe, healthy, and successful school year. Have a wonderful first day of school—we’re cheering you on every step of the way! 📚✏️💙

Community Health Centers like HarborCHC play a critical role in addressing acute and chronic conditions through prevention, early detection, and treatment. Today we highlight efforts like vaccinations, cancer screenings, heart health, diabetes care, and managing chronic infectious diseases. Our providers at HarborCHC offer these services year-round at our clinics in San Pedro and Long Beach.
