What a difference a year makes! Last August we were extremely anxious and worried about Frank Spear ‘s condition. He’s said before that the AAED is his favorite meeting, and he couldn’t make it last year. God delivered miracles for Frank and Charlene, and all of us in dentistry get to benefit from Frank being back at it, on stage again! ❤️

10 years in the House of Rouse 🎉

Thank you Jeff Rouse Spear Education for changing how we see patients — and dentistry itself. Jeff teaches how to lead with health 👃🏽 , grow in our practices, and use airway and dentistry to change lives for the better.

Still honored to mentor in Airway Prosthodontics and Sleep Dentistry at Spear. This is where I grew up as a dentist, and now I get to pay it forward to doctors on similar journeys. The clinicians who walk through these walls share a passion for clinical excellence in order to serve their patients at the highest level. I’m always glad to walk among them. (Liz Michelle Michael — and frankly all the airway mentors around Jeff — I love what you’re all doing 🙌 thank you for inspiring me!!)

And while there’s plenty I miss about clinical practice, I’m honestly glad I don’t make sleep appliances anymore. But if I ever do again, I’m so glad to learn from the best Jamison Ross Spencer 🙏🏾

Endlessly grateful for the people and friendships that make time away from my family and COCOLAB feel worth it.

I’m headed to Spear Education for Airway Prosthodontics and Sleep Dentistry! I don’t get out to Spear as often anymore, so I’m really looking forward to it. I’ll also be at AAED (American Academy of Esthetic Dentistry) in New York next week—let me know if you’ll be there too!

Cat and I had another pinch-me moment last week: our happy hour🍹in Anaheim. We’ve grown so much these past 11 years, and I’m so honored and grateful for this 🦷 Pro community that raised us up! Colleagues came from *all over* California to hang out with us. (From San Diego to Sacramento!) Many didn’t even know that CDA was happening. We are SO tremendously appreciative for these friends, new and old 💗 and so proud of & grateful for the Cocolab team!! It’s so much fun building together. One smile at a time!!

Thank you for all the love and good energy🫶 Maxed out at 20 photos and 20 tags… even if I’ve missed you here, you know who you are!!! 🙏🏾😘

The chaos and blur that was this year’s CDA Anaheim.

Huge thanks to the 🦷 Pro community for all the love the enthusiasm for COCOLAB! and kudos to the team for — honestly — surviving!! 🩵

I heard someone say, “this line is harder than the bathroom line at Coachella!” Thanks to for helping us create our Disneyland-style zig-zag line to manage the crowd. Especially when we ran out of everything, our booth experience reminded me of Splash Mountain… where you wait in line, turn the corner, and things aren’t what you expect! 😱 We felt so badly for folks who waited in line only to be told we were stocked out! We promise to bring more next year.

And we are going to need real bouncers next time.
