Recently, our doctors, Dr. David Lai and Dr. Monica Wu, President of the Santa Clara County Dental Society (SCCDS), joined fellow SCCDS Board members Dr. Kay Rha and Dr. Tim Verceles at Senator Dave Cortese’s Annual Cioppino 🦐🦀🍝Dinner in San Jose.

Together, they proudly represented SCCDS at this community gathering, sponsored by the California Dental Association (CDA), in support of Senator Cortese’s re-election campaign. It was a meaningful evening of engaging conversations, strengthening relationships with local leaders, and building community connections! 🇮🇹

Some dental offices wind down quietly for the long weekend …ours end up with plenty of over caffeinated fun, laughs, and a committed karaoke performance 🦊🎤😂

After a busy week of caring for smiles, our team still had just enough energy left for an end-of-day concert. We take your dental care seriously—even if we don’t always take ourselves too seriously—and sometimes ending the week on a silly note is exactly what we need! 🎤🦊😂

Dr. David Lai may still be wondering what the fox says—but we have a more important question for you:

What will your floss say about you this weekend? 🦷✨

Earlier this week, we celebrated the birthday of our newest dental assistant, Frankie ! 🥳🎂

She joined us a little over six months ago and has already become a familiar face at both our River Oaks and Pacific Bay locations. When she isn’t assisting our patients, you’ll probably find her enjoying sushi, anime, and video games—or doing hair on the weekends! 🍣🎮✨ 🍣🎮💇‍♀️

We wish her plenty of joy, adventures, and great sushi! Let’s send Frankie some birthday love! 💛🩵

As we ease into September, we’re reflecting on the meaningful ways our doctors served the community during August. 💛

On separate Sundays, Dr. Monica Wu and Dr. David Lai each volunteered alongside local dentists and the Tzu Chi Foundation to provide pro bono dental care to underserved members of our community. 🦷

At Compass Dental Arts, service is part of what guides us—both inside and outside our office. We’re grateful to carry that same spirit of care into the month ahead. ✨

🦷 🪥Brushing up on the highlights ⚡️from two busy days at the Bay Area Dental Expo last week!

Our Compass Dental Arts team with our doctors , Dr David Lai and Dr Monica Wu was there to learn, connect with other dental professionals and check out the latest technology 🔬 shaping the future of dentistry. We even had Dr Lai getting a laser demo!

Dr. Monica Wu also delivered opening remarks representing the Santa Clara County Dental Society Santa Clara County Dental Society . The event brought her together with respected leaders in dentistry, including Dr. Erin Beveridge Erin Beveridge , former Glidewell Dental CEO and keynote speaker Stephenie Goddard, Stephenie Goddard BADE host and speaker Dr. Sheila Dobee Dr Sheila Dobee Dentist , and CDA President Dr. Robert Hanlon California Dental Association .

Together, the experience gave our team a closer look at the people, ideas 💡 and technology helping shape what comes next in dentistry. 🦷💻
