Your masseter runs from the cheekbone all the way to the angle of the jaw. Vertically.
Two ways to release it:
First: Use your knuckles on the outside. Start from the cheekbone and gently press down all the way to the angle of the jaw.
Second: With clean hands, or with a glove, place your thumb inside your cheek and gently press outward, grabbing your cheek. Maintaining the pressure, sweep forward. Then come lower, and sweep forward again.
Slow. Do not force it.
Save this.

Does your jaw click AND hurt when you open? 😬

That clicking may be coming from the joint itself. The disc inside the TMJ can shift, while the surrounding chewing muscles can become tight and overworked.

That’s why a TMJ evaluation looks at more than just where it hurts. We examine the muscles and the joint to understand what’s actually causing the problem.

Treatment depends on the source of the pain and may include Botox for overworked muscles or PRF for certain joint-related problems.

Jaw pain first-aid you can do tonight.
1. Gently massage the sore muscles in circles
2. Alternate warm and cold compress
3. “N” stretch — tongue behind your upper front teeth, slowly open
4. Avoid hard/chewy foods
5. Keep your teeth apart. Don’t clench.
These are the same first steps I give patients before we ever talk about a night guard or Botox.
Save this for the next flare-up.

Every morning, you wake up clenching.
Your jaw feels tight.
Headaches are starting to feel normal.

That’s when it may be time to consider masseter Botox.

By relaxing overworked jaw muscles, Botox can help your jaw feel lighter, ease tension, and reduce clenching-related headaches. ✨

Jaw tight? Clenching? Headaches?
This is what a proper muscle exam actually looks like before Botox.
Most people only look at the joint…
but the real tension is often in the muscles.
We treat the muscle, not just the joint.

What your jaw is actually doing at 3 a.m. 😴
Most people have no idea how hard their masseter muscle is working while they sleep.
Constant clenching and grinding can lead to morning headaches, jaw pain, worn teeth, and TMJ flare-ups.
Therapeutic Botox doesn’t freeze your face — it simply reduces the excessive force so your jaw can finally relax overnight.
Relief usually starts within 1–2 weeks and lasts about 3–4 months.

The “11” lines between your eyebrows are caused by repeated muscle movement over time. Botox works by relaxing those muscles, helping create a smoother appearance while maintaining natural facial expression.

Treatment takes just a few minutes, with results typically starting within 3–5 days and full results in about 2 weeks.

Sore jaw, clicking, or headaches behind the eyes?
If clenching or overworked jaw muscles are part of the problem, Botox can be an effective treatment option to help relax those muscles and reduce tension.
