Dear Friends & Cookie Fans,
Since our contracted bakery gave us 10 days’ notice that they were closing in June, I’ve thought, “What now?” Some soul searching revealed that I was ready to move on from Marlo’s Bakeshop and tackle a new challenge.
Today, I am so thrilled to announce two pieces of news:
First, Marlo’s Bakeshop has been acquired by women- owned Angel Miracle Cookies LLC, a local company that is courageously building out a brand new baking facility in CA to make our product lines as well as their own. Inventory will be back in stock on MarlosBakeshop.com shortly and the brand will live on, thrive and prosper! Stay tuned for updates from the new owners.
Second, I have joined the bright & earnest team at Good Use on their mission to combat climate change by making cold-pressed juices, lemonades and wellness shots from imperfect and surplus produce that would otherwise become food waste, an incredibly dangerous issue in this country that I am proud to be tackling. Thank you for joining me on this journey- together we created flavors of biscotti never seen before (hello, Brown Sugar Coffee Cake), became the first GMO-free certified line on the market, and used secret family recipes to celebrate different heritages and global cultures through cookies. I am forever grateful for you and for this experience.
