I’m excited to share something I’ve been working on — drshenGarnett.com is now live!

After more than 20 years in orthodontics, I wanted a place to bring together the clinical side of my work — interesting and challenging cases, research, publications, lectures, and writing.

Some of the cases that have interested me most over the years have been the ones that didn’t have an obvious solution. On the new site, I can share more than just a before-and-after — including clinical records and treatment approaches that show how challenging orthodontic problems can sometimes be solved in ways that may not have been initially considered.

I hope it becomes a useful resource for patients, parents, dentists, and orthodontists who want to learn more and see what may be possible.

There’s much more to come, and I’m excited to finally have a place to share it.

People often ask me if AI is going to replace orthodontists. My answer is a strong no.

AI will continue to change how we practice. It can automate repetitive tasks, improve efficiency, and support better decision-making. But treatment decisions still require experience, critical thinking, and understanding each individual patient. As far as I can tell, that part hasn't been replaced.

I recently had the opportunity to share my perspective with Newsweek, and I'm glad to see this conversation reaching a broader audience. Thanks to for covering this important topic and for including my perspective.

I'd love to hear how others in healthcare are thinking about AI's role in patient care.
