⭐️We’re excited to share a new service available at Seaside Kids Dental⭐️

Through our partnership with Bay Anesthesia Group, we now offer in-office general anesthesia for children who may need an alternative way to complete necessary dental treatment.

General anesthesia is a controlled form of anesthesia that allows children to safely sleep through their dental treatment without discomfort or awareness.

For some children, completing dental treatment while awake may not be possible due to their age, anxiety levels, special healthcare needs, or the extent of treatment required. In these situations, general anesthesia can allow children to receive the care they need in a way that is safe, efficient, and as stress-free as possible for both children and their families.

If your child has been recommended for dental treatment under general anesthesia- or if you’re trying to explore what options may be available when traditional visits have been difficult - we’re here to help.

Education is one of the core values of Seaside Kids Dental, and we love to find new ways to keep our team learning and growing ✨

Today we had the pleasure of learning from Michele of The Bridge Myofunctional Therapy. Michele introduced us to the role myofunctional therapy plays in improving breathing, swallowing, and overall airway health.

She also shared some of the tools she uses - like mouth tape and Breathe Right strips (modeled by our assistants Shelley and Janel 😄) - along with fun activities that help diagnose and treat airway concerns.

We are so grateful for opportunities like this to expand our knowledge and continue providing thoughtful and comprehensive care to our patients 💜

🎉Congratulations to our Cavity Free Star Milo! 🎉

Throughout the year our office celebrates our cavity-free patients by putting a picture of them on our Cavity Free Stars wall. At the end of the year we put all of the picture in a box and randomly pick two to receive a prize. Last year Milo was one of our raffle winners, and yesterday he collected his prize - an ocean-themed Lego set and a Seaside Kids Dental water bottle! We hope he enjoys his special treat! ❤️
