We had a fun and informative weekend of learning at the California Dental Association's scientific meeting in Anaheim.
Of course, being this close to Disneyland, we kind of had to visit the mouse as well!

Happy Holiday to all of our wonderful patients! I hope the season is awesome for everybody.
We celebrated the holidays this weekend with a yummy dinner at Roys and a viewing of the San Diego Boat Parade. Unfortunately we had so much fun at dinner that we missed the parade. Oh well, maybe next year.
The evening was bitter sweet as we said goodbye to our long time hygienist, Emily. With a recent move to North County, she had to take a job with a more convenient commute. Emily, we will all miss you and wish you well.

Wow, all of a sudden summer is over and it's time to be thinking about funding your Flex Benefit Accounts (FSAs).
Through some employers, you may elect to set aside pre-tax dollars to pay for medical/dental expenses in 2022. It's a great deal. In most cases, you gain access to these funds as soon as the calendar turns, but you have to use them up by the end of the year.
Speaking of that, if you have unused funds for 2021, this might be a good time to come in and make certain your dental health is up to par.
Just a friendly reminder to plan ahead before the holiday season (quickly) approaches.

What a difference a year makes!
It truly has been nice to welcome back so many of our awesome patients these past few months. We have missed you. Please know that we are doing our best to schedule everyone who calls and we continue to be here for you 5 days a week. However, if you are unable to get in on your preferred day or time, we ask for your patience as we catch up on our post-COVID demand.

Our own Dr. Gloria volunteered to vaccinate the public for COVID-19 this weekend! She said Saturday was particularly busy in Chula Vista.

Happy New Year from Robert Bey Dentistry!
We have some good news to report.
First, our team is in the process of getting our COVID vaccinations. As health care workers, we have already been offered the first dose, and look forward to receiving our second shots in early February.
Even more exciting, we have welcomed our hygienist, Emily, back to the office after a 4 month absence. She's been pretty busy taking care of her beautiful daughter, Olivia. It's great to have her back.
As we continue to operate our practice the strictest infection controls available, we hope to see all of our awesome patients in 2021.

In spite of California's recent stay at home order, and the forced closure of many businesses , Robert Bey Dentistry remains open.
The California Dept. of Health has deemed dentistry as essential so we are able to provide our patients with all dental services, including teeth cleaning.

I wanted to share a picture of our two newest patients. This is Luca (who is proud of the prize he got for being such a good patient) and his sister Greta (who just discovered the TV on the ceiling!). These kiddos belong to proud mom, Marielle, our lead dental assistant.
Dr. Gloria gave them both good check ups. We are so happy to welcome them to the Robert Bey Dentistry family!

GOOD NEWS (unless you need a haircut)!
Our dental office is still open five days a week. The recent mandate to shut down many businesses in San Diego County does not apply to dental offices. I feel that this is a reflection on our safety policies and procedures. We continue to distance our patients when scheduling their appointments and practice the highest levels of sterilization and infection control possible.
Please give us a call if you have any questions regarding this and we hope to see you (with your hippy hair) soon.
