Join us for a guided hike along the Saigon Trail, led by Dr. Sussi Yamaguchi, on May 30th, starting at 2 PM.

This 6-mile coastal route is one of San Diego’s hidden gems, featuring steep cliffs, a slot canyon, the iconic Mushroom House, and a scenic stretch of beach 🌊

One of the best parts of what we do is getting the opportunity to collaborate with students and future professionals.

We recently worked with San Diego State University students enrolled in their MIS program. Throughout the project, they learned more about our organization and helped develop ideas and solutions focused on improving our organizational processes and future operations.

We attended their poster session, which featured SDCDS and the solution they developed. Overall, we were impressed by their understanding of our organization and their ability to create a recommendation that was thoughtful and relevant to the work we do.

A huge thank you to Molor Haschuluu, Mae Mansour, Vincent Manalac, Rory Yau, Zaid Yunis, and Riley Peterson for leading this project!

Another great turnout at this year’s Professional Speed Dating event 👏

Last Friday, we brought together dental professionals from all over San Diego for an evening focused on making professional connections and meeting people you may not have otherwise had the chance to talk to.

This event is designed to make hiring and networking more personal. Instead of only applying online or posting job listings, professionals and employers had the opportunity to connect directly, ask questions, and meet multiple people all in one place.

We also offered complimentary professional headshots during the event for anyone wanting an updated photo for resumes or LinkedIn.

From San Diego to Sacramento ✈️

This week, SDCDS representatives traveled to Sacramento for Advocacy Day to meet with San Diego legislators, learn more about CDA policy initiatives, and advocate for issues affecting dentistry and patient care across California.

We are proud of our members who took the time to represent SDCDS and explain these important policies to our local elected officials. Thank you to California Dental Association (CDA) for inviting us and arranging a great day!

Join us on May 8th for Professional Speed Dating, a fast-paced event designed to match dental practices with associates, dental assistants, hygienists, and office staff who are actively looking for opportunities.

You will rotate through a series of short, one-on-one conversations, giving you the chance to meet multiple candidates or practices in one evening, all in one place.
