ABC Children's Dentistry We are located West of I-15 off of Rancho Penasquitos Blvd.

You can locate us on the East side of Penasquitos Point Shopping Center behind the McDonald's Restaurant. Dr. Roya Sadrian's gentle demeanor and many years of experience treating children allows her to deliver the highest quality of care to each child. She received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Washington in Seattle and her specialty degree in Pediatric Dentistry from

the University of Maryland. In addition to practicing pediatric dentistry, she has been an assistant professor of pediatrics at the University of Maryland, University of Washington, University of Texas - Houston, and the University of California San Diego.

Protecting Children’s Oral Health Starts with Sound Science 🦷

The AAPD submitted comments to the EPA regarding its proposed Fluoride Preliminary Assessment Plan. While we support rigorous scientific review, the current plan contains significant methodological flaws and biases that could lead to the misguided removal of community water fluoridation—a move that would disproportionately harm children's health.

Our key concerns include:

• Inappropriate Indicators: Cosmetic effects should not be used as a threshold for toxicity. The plan suggests that the EPA could use mild fluorosis as a toxicity benchmark; however, mild fluorosis is not pathologic and has no deleterious health consequences.

• Outdated Data: The plan stops the literature review at the end of 2024, ignoring key studies published more recently that have confirmed the safety of fluoride at levels used in the U.S.

• Risk of Removal: The assessment plan explicitly states a disinterest in accounting for the benefits of fluoride. Without reviewing benefits, the plan ignores the harms of taking fluoride out of the water, such as more pain, more infections, and higher costs for families.

We urge the EPA to engage an independent reviewer like the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine () to ensure this assessment is based on Gold Standard Science, not politics.

San Diego families, you made it unforgettable! ☀️ Hundreds of families joined us for our FREE Family Fun Fest, and the energy was incredible from start to finish!

The energy was nonstop from start to finish. Kids raced through Best STEP Forward's Temple of Doom obstacle course, soared on the zipline, bounced with friends and enjoyed creating crowns and Olympic gold crafts and won exciting raffle prizes. 🎉🚗❄️
