The healing of a periapical lesion is not a matter of luck, but a predictable outcome of effective dental treatment. Periapical lesions are areas of inflammation around the tip of a tooth root, caused by a bacterial infection from a necrotic (dead) dental pulp. With proper endodontic treatment, the source of the infection is eliminated, allowing the body’s natural healing processes to resolve the lesion and regenerate the surrounding bone.

How GLP-1s Infiltrated The Fitness World and how it affects Oral Health?

Weight-loss meds like Ozempic are gaining popularity among runners,

helping them lose weight and achieve new personal records.

Runner logic says every extra pound costs 1-2 seconds per mile, and research backs this up - a 2017 study found that runners who lost 10% of their body weight improved their 3K times by 5.2%, or 2.4 seconds per pound lost.

🚩People using GLP-1 drugs like Ozempic are reporting what they call “Ozempic teeth.”

The unusual side effect refers to the dental health impacts of GLP-1 drugs, including tooth decay, sensitivity, and tooth loss.

dry mouth, vomiting, and low appetite are likely causes of these side effects.

Proper oral care is a must for people using GLP-1 medications. More research is advised

A sinus tract (or fistula) of dental origin can sometimes appear away from the tooth that is the source of the infection.

In this case fistula was in between teeth #4, 5.

This occurs when an infection from a tooth (like a periapical abscess) spreads through the path of least resistance in the bone and tissues, eventually reaching the skin’s surface
