Why do we see root canals that look “less-than-ideal” succeed? It’s all about virulence and host immunity! We would love all of our root canals to look pretty on a radiograph. However, even if that cone doesn’t seat to the apex or we don’t see that lateral canal we were hoping for pop, it can heal if we remove the etiology for the disease: bacteria and tissue!
