Why do we see root canals that look ā€œless-than-idealā€ succeed? Itā€™s all about virulence and host immunity! We would love all of our root canals to look pretty on a radiograph. However, even if that cone doesnā€™t seat to the apex or we donā€™t see that lateral canal we were hoping for pop, it can heal if we remove the etiology for the disease: bacteria and tissue!
