📣 Texas dental community—please check your email!

I recently received two important notices from the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners (TSBDE) and wanted to share a reminder so these updates don’t get overlooked:

🔹 Pre-renewal fingerprint background check: If TSBDE has notified you that your record is missing a State Identification (SID) number, you’ll need to complete the required fingerprint background check before your license renewal can be processed.

🔹 TSBDE Lifelong Learning Portal: The welcome email includes instructions for accessing the new portal, where you’ll report your continuing education activities and complete your Jurisprudence Assessment, if required. Existing users will also need to follow the account upgrade instructions.

📩 Check your inbox AND spam/junk folders for these notices, and make sure your email address on file with TSBDE is current!

I’ve attached screenshots of the two emails I received so you know what to look for. Please review your own notices for the instructions and requirements that apply to you.

Meet Dental Divas™️ member spotlight, Misty Denis! 🙌🏼

Misty is the Office Manager at Graham & McCabe Family Dentistry, a family owned general dental practice in San Antonio, Texas, where she has been part of the team since 2018. With 25+ years in the dental field, Misty brings a wealth of experience in practice management, team leadership, patient relations, insurance and billing, scheduling, and the many moving pieces that keep a dental practice thriving.

Her dental journey began in pediatric dentistry, where she started as a receptionist and spent 17 years growing professionally before taking a leap of faith into general dentistry. Since then, she has been passionate about helping the practice, team, and patients grow and thrive.

Misty is a lifetime AADOM member and recent recipient of her DAADOM, and she serves as Vice President of the Dental Professional Learning Network of Central Texas. She is committed to continuing education and professional development, staying current with industry training and various certifications.

She believes there is always something new to learn, and she embraces every opportunity to grow as a leader and bring fresh ideas back to her practice.

Dr Aniemeke is the co- owner and lead dentist of WeCare Family Dentistry, where she is committed to providing compassionate, high-quality dental care to patients of all ages. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) in 2013 before receiving her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from UT Health San Antonio School of Dentistry in 2018.

Known for her gentle approach and genuine compassion, Dr. Aniemeke is dedicated to helping every patient feel comfortable and confident in their smile.
